A goal in every cup
The Lavazza Group has embraced sustainability since its very beginning, and for more than 15 years has carried out activities in the field through its Foundation.
The United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals guide us in the development of projects that aim to spread awareness of these goals, whilst at the same time support farming communities in coffee-producing countries. Such support for these communities addresses both their economic development and agricultural practices that serve to protect the environment.
Here at the Lavazza Group, we believe that promoting a model based on valuing people and the land is the key to building a balanced relationship between the coffee industry and communities, one of the founding values of our Group.
Our global goals approach
Our sustainability mission has been engraved in the Lavazza DNA from the very beginning, and continues to be a key strategic point in its long term vision. Embracing the United Nations 2030 Agenda, Lavazza has developed a Manifesto, identifying 4 goals. These goals guide the sustainability long term vision and reflects the deep sense of responsibility that the Group has always demonstrated towards the communities with whom it operates, particularly coffee producers, its own employees, customers and end consumers.

Our KLIX Cup is made of PEFC certified paperboard and can be recycled. A step forward in the Lavazza Group’s Packaging Roadmap.
The road to carbon neutrality
Road Map to Zero is our ambitious company wide plan that aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 and a circular economy, in order to reduce our environmental footprint and positively contribute with clear and lasting actions. To achieve that, we are focused on both organizations and products.
