Lavazza Professional is proud to announce that it has achieved EDGE Advance and EDGEplus accreditation, marking an important milestone in our ongoing commitment to building a fairer, more inclusive and equitable workplace.
EDGE is a globally recognised, independently assessed certification framework that reviews an organisation’s progress on workplace diversity, fairness and inclusion, with a particular focus on gender and intersectional equity. Unlike accreditations based on intent alone, EDGE is evidence-based, assessing organisational data, policies and practices, employee survey feedback and action planning to provide an objective view of progress and future focus areas.
For Lavazza Professional, achieving EDGE Advance and EDGEplus is a significant recognition of the progress made across the business. It demonstrates that our approach to equity, diversity and inclusion is not only values-led, but measurable, independently reviewed and informed by the experiences and input of our people.
Lavazza Professional first achieved EDGE Assess in 2024, the initial level of certification. We have now progressed to EDGE Advance and EDGEplus, moving forward by two levels in two years. This reflects sustained focus, collaboration and meaningful action across the organisation, following an external audit conducted in April 2026 in line with EDGE Certification Requirements.
This achievement is especially significant as Lavazza Professional is the first Lavazza entity to achieve EDGE Advance and EDGEplus. It also marks Lavazza Professional as the only UK company to achieve both EDGE Advance and EDGEplus accreditation – a proud moment for the business and an important step in our wider equity, diversity and inclusion journey.
EDGEplus adds further depth by extending the assessment beyond gender alone, considering additional dimensions of diversity and intersectionality. For Lavazza Professional, this supports a deeper understanding of how workplace experiences can differ across groups, and how our policies, practices and culture can continue to promote fairness, inclusion and opportunity for everyone.
The accreditation reflects the collective efforts of teams across Lavazza Professional, with the HR team playing a significant role in leading, coordinating and driving the work over the past two years. Their commitment, alongside contributions from colleagues across the business, has helped strengthen the foundations for a more inclusive workplace culture.
EDGE Pay Equity and Transparency Certification
In addition, Lavazza Professional UK has become the first organisation globally to be awarded the EDGE Pay Equity and Transparency Certification. The certification combines an EDGE-compliant pay equity analysis with a targeted Policies and Practices Questionnaire assessing the implementation and maturity of the organization’s policies and practices that support pay equity and transparency. Together, these two components are independently verified and, where the EDGE thresholds are met, organizations are awarded the EDGE Pay Equity and Transparency Certification.
Importantly, this is not the end of the journey. EDGE provides an evidence-based benchmark for progress, helping organisations understand where they are today and where they can continue to improve. For Lavazza Professional, it reinforces our commitment to embedding equity and inclusion into our workplace practices, decision-making and culture.
Sally Mackay, UK HR Director, said:
“Achieving EDGE Advance and EDGEplus accreditation is an important recognition of the progress Lavazza Professional has made over the past two years. It reflects the commitment and collaboration of colleagues across the organisation, and our continued focus on embedding equity and inclusion into our workplace practices and culture.”
By achieving EDGE Advance and EDGEplus, Lavazza Professional has received independent recognition for the progress already made – and a clear framework to continue building a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported and able to thrive.
