The Café Project, based in Basingstoke, has been named as the official Lavazza Professional UK (Lavazza Pro) lead charity for 2025; a charity that empowers and trains individuals with learning disabilities – crafting skills, building confidence, creating brighter futures, and serving exceptional coffee along the way.
Comprised of two locations (Café Dome in Brighton Hill and the newly opened Orchard Café in the War Memorial Park), The Café Project was born from the vision of dedicated parents of young adults with learning disabilities, after recognising a significant gap in opportunities after college.
Ken MacIsaac, UK Business Leader from Lavazza Pro says “Our commitment to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected is at the heart of what we do here at Lavazza Pro. The Cafe Project’s dedication to promoting social inclusion and providing support to marginalised communities resonates deeply with our mission.”
Lavazza Pro plans to support The Café Project through several activities as the year progresses, working in partnership to boost the lives of people in the local community through the power of coffee. That support is being launched with fundraisers led by Lavazza Pro associates:
Lavazza Football Charity Cup 2025 | 12th June 2025 | Basingstoke
For the second year running, the Lavazza Pro office team will go head-to-head with the Lavazza Pro Factory and Field Team. With a pre-game friendly involving The Café Project volunteers, a half-time children’s penalty shootout against senior leadership and raffle prizes to be won, it’s set to be an action-packed event!
All funds raised from the game will be given to The Café Project – any donations are welcome: Fundraiser by Lavazza Professional : Lavazza Charity Cup 2025 – fundraising for The Cafe Project

Ann Moorcroft, Chairperson at The Café Project says “All this fantastic support from Lavazza Professional will help us to continue providing a safe, inclusive space for people in our community and expand the reach of our work. We believe every cup fuels a dream – the alignment between our values and Lavazza’s makes this partnership especially meaningful, and we’re excited about what we can achieve together.”
